Solar Power Plant Brebex

To maximize the utilization of Serbia’s solar resources, a hilly and mountainous area in the eastern part of the country was selected. This region is characterized by highly favorable solar exposure, with a projected insolation of up to 1,430 kWh/m², significantly exceeding national averages.

The Brebex solar power plant will have installed capacity of 300 MW and an expected annual electricity production of 475 GWh. This power complex includes:

• Solar park (solar panels, inverters, internal MV cable network, prefabricated TS 33/08 kV)

• TS 33/400 kV Substation

• 400 kV Switchyard

• 400 kV OHL no. 404 TS 400/220/110 kV Niš 2 – Stolnik (Sofija), connecting into 400 kV switchyard

• Access road and

• Energy storage facility

Construction work on the site began in September 2025, and completion is planned by the end of 2026.
